Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer

Our Client, an EV Manufacturer company, is looking for a Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer for their Casa Grande, AZ location.
Responsibilities: Create D models of test racks, panels, enclosures, and mechanical fixtures to support electrical testing of powertrain products using CATIA & Auto-CAD. Design test system hardware to implement test requirements. This includes system layout, component selection, cabinet/rack design, selection and sizing of connectors and cables, with consideration for heat loads, electrical noise, and ease of access for troubleshooting.
Ensure proper placement and mounting of instruments, harnessing, connectors, power supplies, and cooling components within the CAD design.
Plan and model cable paths and wiring to ensure accessibility, EMI mitigation, and serviceability.
Generate detailed D drawings, BOMs, and fabrication files for sheet metal, machining, and assembly.
Collaborate closely with electrical and test engineers to translate testing needs into functional mechanical layouts.
Incorporate airflow, cooling, and structural stability in rack and enclosure designs.
Use PLM or CAD data management tools to track revisions and ensure documentation accuracy.
Communicate design intent and mechanical requirements with fabrication vendors and assist in prototype builds.
Provide inputs to test station design including DUT handling and connection methods. Specify test application interface with station control system. Collaborate with controls engineers to develop overall station sequence, and responses to different failure modes.
Manage test equipment sourcing, build, and validation by internal and external teams. For externally sourced equipment, create RFQs, select suppliers and track their progress to ensure timely delivery.
Requirements: Detailed knowledge of electrical & electronics circuits and components, cables and connectors.
Ability to design electrical schematics using AutoCAD or Eplan.
Knowledge and experience in developing test system hardware using National Instruments platforms such as PXI, cDAQ, cRIO.
Expertise in developing test application software using one or more software tools such as NI LabVIEW, NI TestStand, NI Veristand, Python, Arduino IDE, MATLAB.
Knowledge of communication protocols like Automotive Ethernet, CAN, LIN etc.,
Ability to use electrical test equipment such as power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, power analyzers, etc. for validation and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, OPC-UA etc. is a plus.
Strong organization skills – tracking schedule and open items, creating meeting agendas and minutes.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally at various levels both inside and outside the company.
BS in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
to years of experience in developing automated test equipment for manufacturing.
Experience in launching automated test systems on high volume manufacturing lines.
Experience in testing electric vehicle powertrain components is a plus.
NI LabVIEW, Test System Development Experience are must.
