Join Leidos as a Senior Network Engineer/Administrator to drive network operations activities and projects for the USCENTCOM Information Technology Services (CITS) Program. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the USCENTCOM J6, providing innovative solutions and maintaining optimal network performance.
In this role, you will:
Develop specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture, ensuring high standards in hardware and software maintenance.
Conduct rigorous testing of network systems and maintain expertise in a wide range of technologies including routers, switches, firewalls, and servers.
Provide creative and practical solutions to complex technical problems and represent the organization in addressing challenging technical issues.
Engage in collaborative efforts across teams, participating in briefings and technical meetings that drive project success.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in communications or a related field, with at least 5 years of relevant technical experience in network technologies.
5+ years of experience managing large-scale enterprise/global networks in fast-paced and diverse environments.
Possession of applicable DoD 8140 or DoD 8570 Certification.
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to identifying network issues.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to convey technical information clearly to non-technical staff.
Desired Skills:
Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCDP.
Required Skills:
Deep understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals and general networking technologies.
Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues, implementing preventive measures for performance continuity.
Expertly oversee daily network monitoring and maintenance using management tools.
Implement and enforce robust network security measures that comply with organizational policies.
Maintain thorough documentation of network configurations and prepare performance reports for stakeholders.
Guide and mentor junior technicians, fostering skill development within the team.
Lead network-related projects, coordinating across functional teams to deliver timely solutions.
Familiarity with cloud-based networking and hybrid architectures.
Communicate technical issues effectively to non-technical personnel.
Project management experience, especially with multi-phase network projects.
Expertise in VPN technologies and routing protocols.
Experience with Cisco WAN/LAN routers/switches in various environments.
Flexible availability for weekends and evening hours as required.
Conduct packet capture analysis using tools like Wireshark.
Review and approve network engineering documentation for completeness and accuracy.
Coordinate network integration activities among multiple teams.
Document interface designs and maintain a common data repository.
Desired Skills:
Experience with USCENTCOM and knowledge of its mission.
Familiarity with USCENTCOM's IT environment.
Ability to troubleshoot Cisco ACI-based networks.
Manage and support Cisco ISE solutions across the organization.
Collaborate with teams to integrate ISE with other components.

The position is based in Tampa, FL.
Pay Range: Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
