Senior Overhead Transmission Line Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Overhead Transmission Line Engineer to join a dynamic team supporting cutting-edge energy transition projects. In this role, you'll collaborate with global Transmission & Distribution (T&D) teams, develop design deliverables for utility upgrades, and interface with utility and developer clients. You will be instrumental in ensuring quality engineering solutions for greenfield and brownfield projects.

Details:

• Pay: $64-$65/hour
• Location: Fully remote, anywhere in the U.S.
• Term: Contract through September 2025 (likely to extend)

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed engineering deliverables, including bills of materials, stringing charts, and structure drawings.
• Perform QA/QC for design calculations and ensure compliance with NESC, ASCE, and RUS standards.
• Use tools like PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, and PLS-Tower; familiarity with LPile and MFAD is preferred.
• Mentor team members and collaborate on high-quality deliverables for global clients.
• Interface directly with clients, manufacturers, and cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Electrical, or Power Engineering.
• Experience: 8+ years of direct overhead transmission line design experience.
• Preferred: Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• Skills: Proficiency in PLS software, AutoCAD, and strong communication abilities.
