As a Senior Principal Software Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of GrowthDay, leading high-impact engineering efforts that fuel our product-led growth and AI innovation.You’ll work closely with a world-class team of builders, thinkers, and growth leaders to ship fast, test boldly, and scale smart. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on turning big ideas into real-world impact, someone who loves owning complex systems, delivering value at speed, and building products that change lives. What You Will Do In This Role: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of world-class engineers, focusing on product-led growth every single day. Build and iterate on GrowthDay’s web and mobile apps (Next.js, React Query, SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose, GraphQL, Vercel, AWS Amplify). Integrate AI and LLM-powered capabilities that enhance user experience and engagement. Own system design and development across the frontend, backend, and infrastructure. Identify bottlenecks early and propose smart, scalable solutions to keep things moving. Collaborate with Daniel (Director of Growth), the VP of Product, and Brendon to support product-led growth strategy and weekly experiments. Present key technical insights, blockers, and trade-offs clearly to peers and leadership. Your Impact: Foster a culture of fast, impactful experimentation, shipping weekly A/B tests to improve onboarding, activation, retention, and monetization across the app. Lead by example with hands-on coding and architecture, while knowing when to step back, unblock, coach, and hold the team accountable with empathy. Be the in-person go-to engineering lead who ensures clarity and alignment across functions and helps translate executive vision into clear, executable action. Collaborate closely with product, growth, design, and marketing to drive measurable results. Work directly with PLG leadership and our CEO, Brendon Burchard, who’s hands-on, product-obsessed, and one of the most recognized personal growth leaders in the world, to translate vision into strategy and weekly testing cycles. You Are What We Are Looking For If: Have 7+ years of engineering experience, including 1+ year within a fast-paced SaaS startup or cross-functional product team. Are a seasoned full-stack engineer (Next.js, GraphQL, Swift, Kotlin, AWS Cloud, Vercel). Have deep experience with A/B testing, rapid iteration, and product-led growth (PLG) environments. Have integrated LLM capabilities into large-scale consumer apps. Enjoy mentoring, leading with clarity, and helping others grow. Are comfortable pushing for answers, asking why, and driving accountability across teams. Want to grow into an engineering leadership path: whether through owning technical strategy, developing people, or driving cross-functional impact. Can translate the CEO’s vision into executable product plans. Compensation $150,000 - $180,000 USD We Are GrowthDay.
