Description: At JTM Construction, the role of the Senior Project Engineer is to provide critical support to both the Project Manager and Superintendent on complex commercial construction projects. Senior Project Engineers are involved in all phases of the project, from estimation through project closeout. The Senior Project Engineer must be able to work closely with others in a team environment. The individual must be professional and self-motivated with strong oral and written communication skills, dependable, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational and problem-solving skills. This position requires travel in the greater Seattle area, depending on the project needs.
The full salary range for this position is $95,000 – $130,000, depending on direct professional experience and qualifications. The bonus target for this role is 3%-10% of annual base earnings.

RESPONSIBILITIES Estimate various Scopes of Work for Conceptual through GMP Estimates Manage Project Submittal and Material Delivery Schedules Review Shop Drawings and Material Submittals in Correlation to the Design Requirements Prepare and Document Accurate Meeting Minutes Update and Maintain Project Record Documents, Specifications, and Logs Oversee Project Closeout Review and Process Subcontractor/Trade Partner Change Orders Compile, Submit, and Negotiate Owner Change Orders Compile and Submit Monthly Payment Applications Assist in Creating and Updating Project Monthly Forecasts Draft and Review Project RFI’s for Submission to the Design Team Manage Large Subcontractor/Trade Partner Scopes of Work from Buyout through Closeout Oversee and Manage Project Interns Participate in Overall Project Safety Contribute to Company Committee This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee. Requirements: SKILLS Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture Minimum of Three (3) Years of Experience Working for a Commercial General Contractor Ability to Work with Microsoft Office Suite Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills Creativity and the Ability to Innovate Knowledge of P6, Vista, Autodesk, PlanGrid, and BlueBeam Preferred Positive Attitude and Willingness to Learn Leadership Skills with a Willingness to Lead by Example Valid Washington State Driver’s License with Ability to Provide Proof of a Clean Driving Record Able to Pass a Pre-employment Drug Screening and a Criminal Background Check
