• Provide test engineering support to a MMIC design team.
• RF bench calibration and bench setup for characterization of RF devices.
• IR testing for junction temperature under bias.
• Run RF / DC test software to capture product characterization data. Tests include S-parameters, P1dB, IM3,and other RF parameters related to MMIC characterization.
• Facilitate new product turn-on, design verification testing (we refer to thisas ETRR testing), testing across temperature (cold, room temp, hot). Stabilitytesting and VSWR testing. Stress testing to evaluate device or productlimitations.
• Some SMT assembly of product sample boards - attach DUT(s), surface mountcomponents, and connectors.
• Troubleshooting and debug of sample board issues and device issues.
• Troubleshooting and characterization of RF device (such as oscillations).
• Plot test result data (in, for example, Excel or jmp), generate reportssummarizing the performance of a new part turn on and ETRR testingresults. Hold ETRR review gate review as needed.
• Create graphs for data sheets from the ETRR test data.
• Support of loose piece sample testing (e.g. for customer samples or tosupport product qualification).
• Coordinate with and support multiple teams - primarily MMIC design but alsotest activities. supporting Product Engineering to release products andApplications Engineering to support sample board creation, test, and datasummarization of already released products.
