In this role, you will join a small, high-performing security team dedicated to safeguarding a modern cloud-native environment. You’ll design and implement security controls, integrate protections into development pipelines, and lead incident response when needed. With a mix of strategic ownership and hands-on execution, you will directly influence the company’s security posture at scale. Accountabilities:

As a Senior Security Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing technical security controls aligned with CIS requirements.
  • Integrating security into CI/CD and infrastructure pipelines.
  • Building and maintaining automation for detection, response, and evaluation of new security tools.
  • Responding to alerts, leading incident response investigations, and supporting requests in an on-call rotation.
  • Driving vulnerability management and system hardening efforts.
  • Contributing to documentation, risk assessments, and security policies.
  • Managing IT security infrastructure and participating in IT asset security reviews.

Requirements

To succeed in this position, you should bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally in cloud-native environments.
  • Strong background securing Kubernetes, Docker, and proficiency with Terraform or similar IaC tools.
  • Familiarity with AWS, GCP, and/or Azure.
  • Understanding of OWASP Top 10 and secure coding principles.
  • Experience with SIEM, EDR, or detection pipelines (e.g., Crowdstrike, Datadog).
  • Proficiency in scripting/automation (Python, Bash, Go, or similar).

Bonus: exposure to SOC 2, CIS, or compliance frameworks, and certifications such as OSCP, GSEC, CKS, AWS Security Specialty, or equivalent.

  • Base salary between $115,000 and $160,000 plus bonus, benefits, and perks.
