With 1,000 intelligence professionals, over $300M in sales, and serving over 1,900 clients worldwide, Recorded Future is the world's most advanced, and largest, intelligence company!Senior Software Engineer, Attack Surface IntelligenceRecorded Future, now part of Mastercard but operating independently, is at the forefront of cyber intelligence and provides data for one of the largest global payment networks.We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to develop our Internet scanning platforms within the Attack Surface Intelligence group, specifically on the Threat Research and Active Collection of Exposures (TRACE) team and Scan Platform sub-team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in large-scale technical projects and serve as a senior individual contributor. Excellent communication skills are essential for coordinating with principal engineers, junior engineers, and DevOps teams to deploy updates effectively.What You'll Do:Design, develop, and optimize components of our scalable Internet scanning platform with a global reach.Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration and deployment of features.Communicate project status, challenges, and insights regularly to stakeholders.Lead discussions and initiatives to improve scanning technologies and processes.Mentor junior engineers to foster a high-performing team environment.Utilize expertise in computer networking and cybersecurity to enhance data collection security.What You'll Bring:At least 5+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably in Enterprise SaaS, Cybersecurity, or Network vendors.Production experience in Python or Go; familiarity with Rust, Elixir, PHP is a plus.Experience with high-volume, network-heavy applications focusing on availability.Knowledge of message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), version control (Git), and CLI tools.Experience with AWS services.Interest in monitoring, dashboards, logs, and metrics for system performance.Deep understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, WHOIS, and related reconnaissance artifacts.Strong software development principles and design pattern knowledge.Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.Effective communication skills in English.Preferred Qualifications:Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and challenges.Experience with portscanning, vulnerability scanning, or signature development.Experience building or deploying Internet scanning platforms.Knowledge of enterprise security products related to Recorded Future's offerings.Why Join Recorded Future?Our diverse team of Futurists from over 40 nationalities embodies our core values of high standards, inclusion, and ethics.
