We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation. We believe that connection fuels innovation, and our in-office culture is designed to foster meaningful teamwork, mentorship, and shared success.Reports to:Software Engineering ManagerHere's a glance at what you'll be responsible for:Design, develop, test and maintain services, web interfaces and client applicationsWrite code that adheres to a high bar for quality, performance, security, and scalabilityParticipate in code reviews, assist in developing specifications and design reviewsTrack the features you are delivering, clearly communicate status and risks to deliveryParticipate in regular release management for services and client applicationsFacilitate cross-team collaboration among engineers and contribute to the broader community of Axon engineersImprove the developer experience and productivityTroubleshooting production IssuesAdvance and mentor other engineersWhat You Bring6+ years of experience in software engineering.Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldExperience designing and delivering cloud-based systems for high availability, reliability, security, and performance2+ years of experience with one backend language (such as Java, Scala, Go, c#, C++, or similar)Experience with Redux, MobX, NgRx, or other state management librariesExperience applying AI or machine learning technologies—particularly in advanced data or language processing—to drive meaningful product or business outcomesExperience with databases, such as MySQL or CassandraExperience using Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub, TeamCity, ArgoCD, etcExperience working in an Agile environmentBenefits that Benefit YouCompetitive salary and 401k with employer matchDiscretionary paid time offPaid parental leave for allFitness ProgramsEmotional & Mental Wellness supportAnd yes, we have snacks in our officesBenefits listed herein may vary depending on the nature of your employment and the location where you work.The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 140,250 in the lowest geographic market and USD 224,400 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
