Join Project Kuiper, an exciting initiative focused on launching a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that delivers low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to underserved communities globally. In this dynamic role, you will be pivotal in designing, building, and maintaining essential APIs and interfaces that connect Kuiper's capabilities to esteemed US Government customers like NASA and the DoD. Your responsibilities will include: Utilizing your expertise in network topology and Software Defined Networking to collaborate with the Kuiper network team, developing APIs and other interface software tailored to customer needs. Demonstrating the interfaces and architectures you develop in a simulated environment you help create. Tackling complex technical problems related to the Kuiper constellation for government clients as part of a diverse team. Leading both internal and vendor teams to fulfill software and interface requirements that ensure performance aligns with Kuiper and US Government standards, including security and reliability. Effectively communicating project status, identifying risks, and managing issues with stakeholders. Documenting results and providing visual insights across various project teams. This position is based in Redmond, WA, and includes relocation benefits for US candidates. Due to the nature of this role, a US security clearance of TS/SCI is required. The Kuiper Government Solutions team consists of skilled professionals dedicated to developing innovative solutions for satellite and ground applications aimed at US and allied government clients. Basic Qualifications: 5+ years of professional software development experience. 5+ years of programming experience in at least one language. 5+ years in leading design or architecture of software systems. Experience mentoring or leading an engineering team. Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years carrying out the full software development life cycle (coding standards, code reviews, source control, build, testing, and operations).
