Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

Location: Orlando, MI (Onsite first 2 months, then Hybrid)

Job Type: Full Time, Direct-Hire / Permanent

Salary: $125,000 - 155,000k

As a Senior Software Engineer you will be developing, maintaining, and enhancing applications that process large-scale aviation data from a variety of real-time and historical sources. This is a hands-on role with a focus on designing and implementing scalable, efficient, and maintainable software components that support industry-leading aviation platforms.

Responsibilities of the Senior Software Engineer:

Design and develop key components of an aviation data platform.

Develop, test, debug, and maintain high-performance code in C++, Python, and Java.

Collaborate with platform architects and fellow engineers during the full software development lifecycle.

Integrate and manage data sources, including filtering, transforming, and merging real-time and historical aviation data.

Work with open-source libraries and modern development tools to streamline development and improve system performance.

Maintain documentation and follow best practices in software version control (Git).

Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.

Preferred Skills of the Senior Software Engineer:

Strong proficiency in C++ , with experience building production-grade systems

Working knowledge of Python and Java

Experience using and integrating open-source libraries

Familiarity with PostgreSQL or other relational databases

Proficiency with Git or similar code repositories

Solid understanding of data transformation and processing pipelines

Collaborative and self-driven, with excellent problem-solving skills

Bonus Skills of the Senior Software Engineer:

Experience with AWS , especially containerization and orchestration tools like Kubernetes

Exposure to Machine Learning frameworks in Python

Passion or experience in Aerospace or Aviation industry
