Senior Software Engineer
Our client is seeking a skilled and forward-thinking Senior Software Engineer to join their enterprise applications team. This role is ideal for a seasoned developer with deep experience in .NET technologies and a passion for building scalable, high-performance web applications in a cloud-based environment. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, an expert in C# and ASP.NET Core, and thrives in a collaborative, agile setting.
This role is fully remote. Candidates must reside in the following states: AZ, DC, FL, IL, KS, MO, NY, NC, OH, OR, TN, MD, NJ, SC, VA, WA, AL, CO, CT, DE, GA, ID, IN, KY, LA, MA, MI, MN, NV, OK, PA, TX, UT, or WI.
Senior Software Engineer Responsibilities Design, develop, and enhance application features using C#, .NET Core/.NET 5+, Entity Framework Core, and RESTful APIs.
Contribute to cross-functional planning and execution in an Agile environment.
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and QA to ensure reliable and scalable software delivery.
Participate in architectural reviews, code reviews, and continuous improvement efforts.
Troubleshoot application issues and implement performance, security, and scalability enhancements.
Support global development teams in a remote-first setting.
Develop technical documentation and mentor junior team members as needed.
Senior Software Engineer Qualifications Minimum 6 years of professional software development experience, including 3+ years with .NET Core/.NET 5+.
Strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, and REST API development.
Solid experience with SQL Server and writing complex stored procedures and queries.
Practical knowledge of OData and modern JavaScript frameworks.
Experience working with cloud platforms (preferably Azure) and version control systems such as Git.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and software design best practices (SOLID, clean architecture, design patterns).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Skills: Familiarity with Azure services and deployments.
Experience with ASP.NET MVC 5.
Exposure to PowerApps or similar low-code platforms.
