Base pay range $180,000.00/yr - $222,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from OSI Engineering Software Field Applications Engineer (FAE) is the software technical lead for a global semiconductor company, focusing on ethernet controllers/Network Interface Cards targeted towards Enterprise, Server & Storage, and AI/ML markets. Assist customers in qualifying and productizing ethernet controllers/NIC solutions. Work on driver bring-up in customer environments, optimize drivers for performance, help bring up features like RDMA, RoCEv2, congestion management, debug issues, and provide patches for workarounds. This role is part of the field applications engineering team within the sales organization. Collaborate with Field Sales Engineers and marketing to increase demand for controller products. Understand customer applications to identify key technology and product features for next-generation products. Work closely with engineering and factory applications teams as well. Requirements: Driver development, embedded software development, strong C/C++ coding skills, experience with RDMA and high-performance networking technologies (RoCEv2, Ethernet). Knowledge of network architecture, topologies, and congestion techniques. Experience debugging embedded software, knowledge of HPC and AI/ML data center operations, deep understanding of Linux kernel and networking. Proactive problem-solving skills, self-motivation, goal orientation. Analytical thinking, attention to detail, effective time management, and excellent communication skills. Experience/Education: Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. 8+ years of related experience required. The annual base salary range for this position is $222,000, including bonuses and RSUs. Location: San Jose, CA
