A Brief Overview Directs and participates in designing, creating, testing, and implementing automated testing to reduce risk and time to value for software products. Acts as a team lead for technical questions related to testing coverage and practices involving product interactions, complex work orders, and functionality of new features within software products. Champions testing and quality mindset within the team. Responsibilities include: Test Planning: Planning various types of testing, understanding product changes, and establishing KPIs for automation efforts. Test Design: Designing testing strategies, developing complex test scenarios, and managing test data. Test Automation: Automating tests, maintaining frameworks, and evaluating new automation tools and techniques. Test Execution: Executing test cases, supporting user acceptance testing, and conducting performance testing. Communication and Documentation: Documenting test results, creating test procedures, and communicating with stakeholders. Defect Remediation: Managing defect repositories, analyzing test failures, and leading root cause investigations. Research, Training, and Mentoring: Researching new testing technologies, training team members, and acting as a technical lead. Go-Live and Project Testing: Coordinating testing during deployment events and providing go/no-go recommendations. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Five or more years of related work experience. Knowledge of test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Test Complete). Experience with application performance monitoring and observability tools. Strong understanding of agile practices and tools like Azure DevOps. Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication skills, customer service orientation, and analytical skills. Attention to detail, collaboration, adaptability, and quick learning. Ability to work independently and in teams, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple priorities.
