The Opportunity Located in Santa Clara, CA, within our Ventures division, this role involves designing and providing solutions for structural heart disease treatment, specifically focusing on transcatheter mitral valve replacement technology. We are seeking a Senior Staff R&D Engineer to contribute to the development of innovative TMVR delivery systems, guiding projects from early feasibility to commercialization. The role requires expertise in engineering medical devices, particularly in this advanced technology space. Responsibilities Lead device design and development under Design Controls for compliance and innovation. Oversee technical system leadership, decision-making, risk management, and project timelines. Define future device generations considering supply chain and user needs. Conduct Design of Experiments (DOE) and root cause investigations. Perform risk analysis and develop fabrication methods to improve production efficiency. Utilize simulations to optimize system performance. Execute root cause analysis and implement continuous improvement strategies. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field, with extensive experience in medical device development. Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience. Proficiency in SolidWorks and hands-on experience with transcatheter heart valve systems. Excellent communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in a technical field. The base salary range for this position is $128,000 to $256,000, depending on location and experience.
