Provide technical product support for all Metrology and Analysis Systems Division's inspection and e-Beam tools sales activities. Provide applications support for customers through recipe automation audits. Review training and demonstration materials for technical accuracy, and provide technical advice to marketing team for sales and trade shows. Evaluate design, hardware/software (HW/SW), and applications of systems and products based on optical and e-Beam technology. Interact with HW/SW design teams to assist in the overall development of systems by specifying, selecting, and qualifying system requirements and system performance models, developing and implementing procedures, and evaluating and selecting appropriate applications to suit customer needs. Work with design teams to complete system or product frameworks, system specifications, input/output and working parameters for HW/SW compatibility, system interfaces, and applications. Identify, analyze, and resolve system design weaknesses. Influence the development of future products by contributing to the framework (architecture) used across multiple products or systems, and provide multi-layered technical expertise for next generation product initiatives. Coordinate design requirement reviews with appropriate engineering/scientific personnel to ensure product compliance to customer requirements. Provide multi-discipline support to customers by resolving technical issues associated with SW and HW of optical and e-Beam products and systems, testing new and existing designs, and documenting changes through a formal engineering change notification process. Manage the development and implementation process of products and services installed at customer sites, including delivering new or upgrading existing products and reviewing processing techniques and methods applied in the use and evaluation of the products. Compile and evaluate test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for system specifications. Conceive and plan projects involving definition and selection of new concepts, equipment automation technology, and approaches in the processing or development of new or improved processes, and provide recommendations for cost reduction efforts. Apply quantitative analysis in determining root cause of highly technical problems and propose, develop, and implement solutions for corrective action.
25% of time spent traveling domestically and internationally to customer locations.
Minimum requirements: Bachelors degree (or the foreign equivalent) in Engineering or related field. 2 years of experience in the job offered or related. Experience with: Hitachi CD-SEM models CG6300 and CG7300, and GT series; measurement parameters tuning for process control; CD-SEM hardware and system tuning for recipes and CD matching; image processing and measurement algorithms; and acceptance testing of CD-SEM.
