We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for our client, a leader in on-orbit satellite servicing solutions. This is a full-time, direct hire position based in Denver, Colorado. Job Summary The Senior Systems Engineer will support mission and systems design across a variety of space programs. The role involves system-level design, requirements analysis, architectural trades, and customer engagement throughout all phases of the project. This is a hands-on engineering position contributing to the development of innovative on-orbit servicing missions. Key Responsibilities Develop mission concepts and system architectures for satellite services Analyze and define roles and interactions of satellite subsystems Support interface definition and trades for on-orbit servicing payloads Apply systems engineering principles to subsystem selection and mission development Perform system-level design, requirement analysis, and design trade studies Resolve complex engineering challenges and support future application planning Prepare technical materials for bids, reports, and presentations Participate in meetings with customers, suppliers, and internal teams Collaborate across teams to ensure mission success Qualifications Strong understanding of the satellite system lifecycle and subsystem interactions Experience with systems engineering processes including CONOPS, requirements management, and verification Familiarity with environmental testing, launch, and commissioning of spacecraft Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable in a dynamic work environment Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering and operations Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred in science, technology, engineering, or math Salary Range $140,000 – $170,000 annually, based on experience Benefits Flexible work options including hybrid and 9/75 schedules Private healthcare coverage Life insurance and long-term sick pay Relocation assistance Access to modern office and cleanroom facilities 401(k) savings plan and stock purchase options Work/life assistance program Paid time off (PTO) By applying for this job, you agree to receive calls, AI-generated calls, text messages, or emails from HEPCO, Inc and its affiliates, and contracted partners.
