Job Summary: Aalis Management Consulting seeks an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level systems that enable net-centric interoperability for personnel readiness data across DoD components. The successful candidate will provide critical systems engineering expertise to ensure stable, efficient operations of mission-critical systems supporting military readiness analytics and reporting.
Key Responsibilities: Design and implement net-centric compliant architectures enabling secure data exchange between readiness systems Develop and maintain a systems engineering framework for enterprise-wide personnel readiness applications. Ensure interoperability between legacy and modern systems through API development and middleware solutions Implement DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) standards for system designs and documentation. Conduct performance monitoring and capacity planning for enterprise readiness systems Develop and maintain system reliability engineering (SRE) practices for critical applications. Implement automated monitoring solutions to proactively identify and resolve system issues. Lead root cause analysis for system outages and performance degradation Provide technical guidance on systems integration, data flows, and interface controls Develop and maintain technical documentation, including CONOPS, system specifications, and interface control documents. Support ATO processes by ensuring compliance with RMF, NIST SP 800-series, and DISA STIGs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, DBAs, and cybersecurity specialists. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field. 8+ years of systems engineering experience, with 5+ years in DoD environments. Proven experience with enterprise system integration and net-centric data sharing. Strong background in system reliability engineering and performance optimization. Technical Skills: Expertise in systems architecture design and interface development. Proficiency with enterprise integration patterns and middleware technologies. Knowledge of API gateways and data exchange standards (JSON, XML, REST). Experience with monitoring tools (Splunk, ELK, Nagios). Certifications: DoD 8570 IAT Level II (Security+ CE or equivalent) INCOSE CSEP/ASEP (preferred) ITIL v4 Foundation (preferred)
