Senior Systems Security Engineer

Data Intelligence, LLC (DI) is seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Systems Security Engineer to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) in Dahlgren, VA. This is an onsite position. Responsibilities include:

• Providing technical expertise in multiple areas of security technology, including network security, platform security, authentication/authorization systems, application security, and security frameworks.
• Identifying potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk, and developing strategies to mitigate these risks.
• Analyzing and responding to security incidents reported from multiple sources, both internal and external.
• Preparing and updating key documents such as Disaster Recovery Plans, Safety Manuals, and Emergency Action Plans.
• Leading security engineering initiatives for production and corporate infrastructure, ensuring the implementation of robust security measures.
• Working closely with stakeholders to ensure that business applications include adequate information security controls.

Skills & Experience:

• Six (6) years of professional experience in relation to IT security with the DoD or Navy.
• Experience with vulnerability analysis, risk analysis, SCAP scans, DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIB) implementation, scanning for viruses and other software that is detrimental.
• Qualified experience in accreditation of systems and audits.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in security technologies, including cryptography, system and network security, and secure software development practices.
• IAM III level certification required.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex security challenges.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• At least secret level security clearance.

This position is contingent upon award of contract. This role is essential for maintaining the security and integrity of NSWCDD's information systems and supporting the organizations mission.
