The experienced Telecommunications Analyst is responsible for the engineering, design, administration, and maintenance support of voice communication systems and associated network infrastructure across the health system. This role serves as a subject matter expert (SME) and a Tier 3 escalation point for telecommunications technologies and provides expert-level technical support, documentation, and troubleshooting data/voice network problems such as carrier and/or internal SIP trunking, T1, QoS, and VLAN tagging, as well as LAN/WAN connectivity issues. The Telecommunications Analyst will also be the key contact for vendor support and interface closely with various IT teams to ensure optimal voice and communication services.

Four to five years of combined work experience in telecommunications and IT network systems. Certifications: Cisco Certification Networking Professional (CCNP) and/or Cisco Certification IP Phone Systems (CCIPP) OR Avaya and/or Ring Central training/certificates preferred. Other Skills and Abilities: Must live within 60 minutes travel to metro Boston and report regularly to various work sites in Boston, North to Manchester, NH, and South to Brockton. Working knowledge of ServiceNow ticketing system, carrier support portals (Verizon, Windstream, Ring Central, Granite Communications), and vendor support systems. Familiar with Office 365 applications including Visio, OneNote, Putty. Experience with voice and data cabling, wireless technologies, and various cable termination types (110, BIX, 66, Amphenol, RJ-11, RJ-45, TIA 568 A & B, T-1 pin outs, wiring color codes, cross connect wire, Cat 5/5e/6 wiring and terminations). Knowledge of data center cabinet layouts, fiber termination types (ST, SC, LC), and power distribution units. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
