About the Role: We are actively hiring a seasoned Senior Water Resources Engineer / Project Manager to lead high-impact stormwater and watershed management projects across Central Texas. Based in Austin, this role combines advanced technical work with leadership responsibilities in a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities: Lead stormwater and watershed management projects from planning to construction Develop 1D and 2D hydraulic and hydrologic models to assess and mitigate flood risks Oversee design and construction of storm drain systems, culverts, bridges, and channel modifications Manage project schedules, budgets, QA/QC processes, and client communication Train and mentor junior engineers and technical staff Coordinate deliverables with CAD teams and other disciplines Represent the firm in client meetings, technical interviews, and proposal presentations Minimum Requirements: Active Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license held for at least 3 years 12+ years of experience in drainage design, stormwater infrastructure, and flood mitigation (or 10+ with a Master's) Strong experience using MicroStation, OpenRoads Drainage, GEOPAK Drainage, and storm/sanitary modeling software Prior municipal experience in Austin, San Antonio, or surrounding regions Proven leadership in project delivery, client engagement, and team development U.S. citizenship or permanent residency Nice to Haves: FEMA floodplain mapping or LOMR/CLOMR project experience Familiarity with agencies such as City of Austin, Travis County, Bexar County, SAWS, or the San Antonio River Authority TxDOT pre-certifications Why Join Us: Impactful work with real-world benefits for communities in Central Texas Opportunity to lead complex, meaningful infrastructure projects Collaborative, people-first culture with a supportive leadership team Competitive compensation, bonuses, full benefits, and hybrid flexibility
