Type: Temp-to-Perm (90-day review)

Location: Nashville, TN (Hybrid: 3+ days on-site per week after training)

Overview

Seeking an experienced Software Automation Engineer III & Team Lead for a temp-to-perm opportunity. This is a hands-on, high-impact development and leadership role ideal for a technically strong engineer with experience mentoring junior developers and managing full-cycle software projects.

Role Summary

The Software Automation Engineer III & Team Lead will oversee the development, maintenance, and optimization of business-critical applications using a modern technology stack. The role requires strong project leadership, full-stack development, automation expertise, and the ability to guide and support a small team.

The primary focus will be on maintaining and enhancing the Request Management System (RMS), which integrates with Freshdesk, Azure, and SAP. RMS supports ticket-based transactional workflows using technologies such as Azure Functions, SQL Databases, React, ASP.NET APIs, Cosmos DB, and various Azure services.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead design, development, and support of automation and software solutions using C#, Azure Functions, REST APIs, and SQL. Manage and mentor junior developers, providing guidance on coding standards, design, and architecture. Coordinate cross-functional efforts with internal and external IT stakeholders. Oversee performance monitoring, issue resolution, and security for deployed solutions. Drive and support digital transformation and intelligent automation initiatives, including IDP and GenAI applications. Contribute to architecture decisions, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies. Ensure successful delivery of technical projects with minimal supervision. Required Skills & Experience: Technical Knowledge Expert in C#, ASP.NET, and REST APIs Strong experience with Azure PaaS (Functions, App Services, SQL DB, Cosmos DB, Key Vault, etc.) Advanced SQL & LINQ Git and CI/CD (Azure DevOps) JavaScript and React JSON, XML, PowerShell, Python SharePoint Online, Power BI (preferred), SAP ERP (preferred) Familiarity with Freshdesk APIs and custom widget development Strong understanding of intelligent automation, OCR, and machine learning concepts Soft Skills: Effective leadership and mentoring abilities Excellent communication and collaboration skills High attention to detail and problem-solving mindset Comfort with ambiguity and rapidly shifting priorities Customer-centric and proactive approach Ability to work independently and cross-culturally Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience 5+ years in C# development, including Azure Functions 4+ years of SQL experience 3+ years cloud development (Azure preferred) 3+ years of Python development 2+ years JavaScript/React experience What This Role Is Not Not a sales position, though you should identify business opportunities Not limited to analysis; it is a hands-on development role Compensation Salary: $110K-$130K DOE Annual bonus: Up to 5% (pro-rated for first fiscal year) Benefits: 100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage with $0 deductible 401(k) with 4% employer match and profit-sharing Generous PTO and paid holidays Short-term disability and salary continuation Transit FSA Optional benefits: Life, legal, pet insurance Company-sponsored events and employee discounts
