Central to these algorithms is our extensive simulation system, which is designed to keep up with rapid optimization improvements and analyze their interactions over extended periods.
The Amazon Supply Chain Optimization Technology (SCOT) organization is seeking highly motivated Software Development Engineers (SDE) to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to create impactful solutions that influence billions of dollars in inventory within one of the most sophisticated supply chains in the world.
As an SDE in the IPC Simulation team, you will:
Collaborate with brilliant software engineers, scientists, economists, and product managers to tackle complex supply chain challenges.
Contribute to one of the largest distributed systems globally, supporting new use cases and shaping its future state.
Leverage cutting-edge AWS technologies like ECS and EMR to enhance system scalability and responsiveness.
Define innovative frameworks (data APIs, plug-and-play technology) for seamless component integration by supply chain teams.
Drive key technology programs across our simulation tools, ensuring the successful delivery of new functionality and alignment with program goals.
Design, implement, test, and maintain a Monte Carlo Simulation system for Amazon's Supply Chain using advanced programming techniques and AWS services in a Linux environment.

Basic Qualifications:
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
2+ years of non-internship experience in system design or architecture.
Proficient in at least one programming language.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
3+ years of full software development life cycle experience.
Strong understanding of software engineering best practices and operational excellence.
This position is located at our offices. The base pay for this role ranges from $129,300/year to $223,600/year, depending on your geographic market and experience. Along with a competitive salary, Amazon offers equity, sign-on bonuses, and a comprehensive range of medical and financial benefits.
