Join the innovative team at Leidos Civil Transportation Solutions as a Software Development Engineer , where you will contribute to the development of the FAA's En Route Automation Modernization (ERAM) program, specifically focusing on the ERAM Adaptation Data Processing (EADP) Application. This application plays a critical role in air traffic control, enhancing aircraft tracking and efficiently managing high volumes of air traffic.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Database and Adaptation Data Processing: Develop complex data models and support air traffic control through effective data management.
Programming Expertise: Work primarily with Ada95/C++ on a UNIX/Linux platform, and develop Oracle/Relational Database applications using tools like Oracle Forms, PL/SQL, and Pro*C.
Interface Coordination: Develop and maintain Ada/C Interfaces and coordinate upgrades to adaptation processing.
Collaboration: Engage with team members and provide mentorship to junior engineers on best practices and software development strategies.
Problem-Solving: Utilize your skills to debug software issues and enhance the functionality of the application.
Basic Qualifications:
Proficiency in Linux/UNIX environments.
Strong programming skills in at least three of the following: Oracle, SQL, Ada, C, Pro*C, or XML/XSD.
U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain an SF-85P Public Trust clearance.
Prior experience with ERAM EADP development.
A demonstrated ability to learn and adapt quickly.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in data modeling and Windchill.
Leadership experience in managing teams or projects.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience working in formal and dynamic environments with geographically dispersed teams.
