Description The Imperium Network Traffic and Security (INTAS) team, part of the Operations Technology Infrastructure Engineering organization, is seeking a talented Software Development Engineer to join our dynamic team. We provide critical network security solutions for Amazon's fulfillment centers using Access Control Lists (ACLs) and VLANs on networking devices. As a key member of the INTAS team, you will ensure the seamless operation of our solutions by updating ACLs in response to infrastructure changes and maintaining a secure network posture. Your main focus will be on two essential aspects: ACL Freshness: Ensuring timely deployment of ACLs to our network devices. ACL Effectiveness: Assessing and optimizing the efficacy of ACLs to minimize complexity within our network. Key Responsibilities Identify business challenges, gather relevant data, and develop effective solutions, leading the implementation process. Lead the design, development, and maintenance of systems for generating and deploying ACLs and VLAN information with high availability and performance. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that security guidelines and best practices for ACL management and network security are met. Proactively address technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and architectural limitations through optimization and refactoring strategies. Establish robust monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting systems for ACL management. Exercise sound judgment to ensure that system changes do not compromise security, compliance, or operational integrity. Design comprehensive solutions and drive project delivery through collaboration with team members. Basic Qualifications 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience. 2+ years of design or architecture experience of systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scalability. Proficiency in at least one programming language. Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
