Software Development Engineer The PXT Content Team is spearheading a bold transformation of Amazon's content ecosystem. We are revolutionizing how content is created, optimized and delivered - through our AI powered tools and services. As part of our team, you will build AI-powered solutions that enhance content quality, enables content re-use across channels, and improves content accessibility for Amazonians (through AtoZ Assistant, MyHR Assistant). Dive into the exciting world of AI Content Optimization as you develop systems such as content quality scoring, automated metadata tagging, duplicate detection, conflict detection, and AI assisted content creation. You'll build APIs and services that enable content traceability, closed-loop feedback mechanisms, and real-time testing for AI Assistant responses. Your work will help unify content spread across 12 different CMS and unstructured solutions - a technical challenge with high impact. As a Software Development Engineer, you'll shape the definition, design, roadmap and development of product features from inception to launch. Key job responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions following best practices Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers Troubleshoot and debug complex software issues Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features Document technical specifications and architecture decisions Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes Mentor junior engineers and share technical knowledge Research and run experiments to evaluate feature effectiveness About the team: Mission: We transform PXT's fragmented content ecosystem into a unified, AI-optimized knowledge base that empowers employees, advisors, and HRx personnel with consistent, accurate, and accessible information across all channels. Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience Experience programming with at least one software programming language Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
