Description : The candidate should have a strong foundation in coding formal tests for hardware or large data systems. They should understand Linux-based systems, scripting, database query development, REST APIs, and be proficient in programming languages such as Perl, Bash, or Python to support formal test events. Software Engineer Responsibilities : Design, develop, and implement testing scripts and strategies, including automated testing and data analysis. Review HPC system documentation, interpret requirements, and develop code to validate those requirements. Collaborate with team members to develop and execute test plans for HPC systems. Test and validate HPC systems independently to ensure requirements are met. Participate in SAFe activities like planning, daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives. Use Linux command-line and scripting languages (Python, Bash) for troubleshooting, testing, and automation. Develop database queries and analyze test data across platforms like Splunk. Track, document, and report software defects using tools like JIRA and Confluence. Contribute to the testing of REST APIs related to hardware systems. Work with cross-functional teams to analyze system requirements and ensure verification standards are met. Required Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, with 4+ years of experience. Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or C++. Experience with Linux/Unix command line and scripting. Ability to develop test cases from system requirements. Extensive Linux command-line experience, understanding of file systems, permissions, and processes. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, Perl. Experience with database querying and data analysis; Splunk experience preferred. Understanding of REST APIs and their applications. Experience working in Scrum or similar Agile frameworks. Experience with defect tracking and resolution processes. Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools. Ability to analyze logs and test results using visualization tools like Splunk, Kibana, or Grafana. Desired Qualifications : Knowledge of Scrum and Agile methodologies. Experience creating user stories and defining acceptance criteria. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
