This position requires DOD Top Secret at a minimum to start. Top Secret/SCI Security clearance must be obtained. US Citizenship is required.

Independent evaluation of software processes and products and their conformity to standards, models, and software engineering program-defined processes

Ensuring quality is built into program processes and products by checking for completeness, consistency, correctness, and conformance throughout the entire software development life cycle and maintenance activities to determine whether the program's objectives have been satisfied and if continuous improvement is needed

Developing, monitoring, measuring, and analyzing software metrics for continuous improvement

Ability to fill all aspects of the Quality function, including Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Quality Engineering. The candidate needs to be able to take on roles that sometimes fall outside of the conventional SQE job description, like directing AS9100 audit support, program metric definition and reporting, supplier surveys, evaluation of nonconformance trending, and driving lessons learned and best practices

Ability to present software quality assessment of products and processes to the customer and program management

Track and manage nonconformances, software defects, trend analysis, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive action activities for the program

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a technical software discipline (e.g., Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent)

Able to work independently in an environment with challenging requirements and dynamic schedules

Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and resolve technical issues with multiple teams, suppliers, and customer

Ability to interpret software design and code to verify the implementation of requirements

Experience in supporting Agile/Scrum software development

Experience with Software Development Pipeline, Configuration Management, and Collaboration tools

Experience in test planning, processing, and nonconformance processing, including root cause analysis and corrective action development

Experience in establishing quality assurance performance metrics for identifying process improvement

Experience with US Military customers and/or other government customer support organizations

Experience working with space vehicle subcontractors and suppliers

Lean/Six Sigma black (or green) belt

ASQ Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE)

Knowledge of AS9100 requirements

Proficient skill with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
