Sr. ASIC Design Engineer, Cloud-Scale Machine Learning Acceleration team Join to apply for the Sr. ASIC Design Engineer, Cloud-Scale Machine Learning Acceleration team role at Amazon Web Services (AWS) Role Overview As a member of the AWS Utility Computing (UC) organization, specifically within Annapurna Labs, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing hardware for our data centers, including AWS Inferentia, our custom machine learning inference server. This role involves working on cutting-edge silicon and software solutions that enable AWS to handle massive scale and integrate emergent technologies. Key Responsibilities Integrate multiple subsystems into top-level SOC, ensuring correct clock/reset/functional/DFT signal routing. Implement and deliver high-performance, area and power-efficient RTL to meet design specifications. Analyze design, microarchitecture, or architecture for trade-offs based on features, power, performance, or area. Develop micro-architecture, implement SystemVerilog RTL, and deliver synthesis/timing clean designs with constraints. Perform lint and clock domain crossing quality checks. Collaborate with architects, verification teams, and backend teams to accomplish design goals. Qualifications Minimum Requirements B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field 5+ years in RTL design for SOC 5+ years in VLSI engineering 5+ years with code quality tools like Spyglass, LINT, or CDC Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in electrical or computer engineering Experience with Microarchitecture, SystemVerilog RTL, Assertions, SDC constraints Scripting experience in Python Knowledge of data path design, interconnects, AXI protocol Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Team Culture & Benefits We foster an inclusive environment emphasizing knowledge-sharing, mentorship, and career growth.
