We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who thrives in a jack-of-all-trades role, that bridges software development, automation, and CI/CD infrastructure. You will design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure systems while contributing to application development, build pipelines, observability, and automation. Our environment is fast paced, complex and exciting. Your roles will include infrastructure automation, application development, critical systems operations, and troubleshooting complex build environments. We are looking for a driven self-starter, who is determined and curious, and genuinely wishes to improve the workflow of our developers, decision makers and operations teams. Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain build and automation software. • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines. • Troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and improve systems reliability. • Write and maintain services, applications, and management tools, in languages like Python, Go, or JavaScript. • Navigate, manage and automate cloud and on-prem environments. • Collaborate with development teams to optimize build performance and observability. • Work across multiple domains, including CI/CD, networking, container orchestration, software development, and large build systems. • Advocate for DevOps culture, continuous improvement, and scalable architectures.
Required Skills: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred. • Strong experience in automation, build infrastructure, and observability systems. • Proficiency in programming (Python, Bash, JavaScript, Go etc.). • Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools. • Experience with containerization, virtualization & orchestration systems. • Configuration management and troubleshooting Linux systems. • Comprehensive understanding of source control, testing and the complete SDLC. • Strong "customer first" values, and excellent communication skills.
Nice to Have: • Experience with large scale, complex build systems like AOSP and Bazel. • Experience working in manufacturing or the automotive industry. • Experience working with embedded software and proprietary hardware. • Ability to mentor junior engineers and drive DevOps best practices.
Salary Range : The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
Additional Compensation and Benefits : Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid's equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
Base Pay Range (Annual)
$142,600-$196,020 USD
