You will be responsible for conceptual design, component specification, system hardware design and programming. Must be able to manage high level projects from concept to production, work closely with other engineers and technical staff.
Responsibilities also include providing engineering support for field service technicians and providing technical training at client facilities as needed. Supports the existing products and work within the constraints of existing methods and standards.
Up to 20% domestic travel may be required, international travel is a possibility.
Responsibilities
- Develop and test new designs as needed and develop high speed automation projects.
- Manage projects from inception to completion.
- Design complete electrical systems from concept to prototype and production.
- Knowledge to read and troubleshoot ladder logic within motion controls. including programming of servo drives (AB).
- Travel to customer locations to assist in software or hardware repair or installations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience in capital equipment design and service.
- 7-10 years of related high-speed automation and electrical design experience.
- Proficient in the use of CAD software for electrical design documentation utilizing SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD or similar system.
- Demonstrated experience in the design of Stepper motor, Servo, and touch screen-controlled capital equipment systems or machinery.
- Excellent knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC systems.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel, up to 20%, including internationally
