Overview Designs and maintains a reliable, secure, and efficient network environment. Capable of deploying, configuring, maintaining, and monitoring all wired and wireless equipment to ensure smooth network operation. Leads as a senior member on Technology team projects when called upon. Responsibilities Establishes network switch, router, and firewall specifications and configurations by analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; performs router and switch administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols. Ensures a stable network environment by evaluating performance issues such as availability, utilization, throughput, and latency; recommends the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; establishes connections and firewalls. Leads technical aspects of IT network management projects. Develops networking policies and procedures. Prepares IT team members through training programs, references, and support documentation. Plans future network upgrades by consulting with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements. Manages budget submissions and monitors expenses to meet financial requirements. Enhances job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining networks, and participating in professional organizations. Protects organizational information confidentiality. Contributes to organizational goals by taking ownership of tasks and exploring opportunities to add value. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or GED required; associate's, technical, or bachelor's degree preferred. Industry-standard certifications related to Wired and/or Wireless Networking required. Experience in environments with 2000+ users is essential. Experience: Minimum 10 years of hands-on IT server/network support experience; at least 5 years in IT network design. Skills: Expertise in Wireless Networking, Network Routing, Switching, OSPF, VOIP, and Network Security. Strong communication skills for presentations. Proven troubleshooting skills, especially with firewalls, routing, and WAN technologies. WORKING CONDITIONS Willingness to travel across all facilities. Normal or corrected hearing and vision. Ability to perform duties with or without accommodations. On-call availability required. This is an on-site position; remote work is not available.
