Health Supply US / Glove One (our nitrile glove manufacturing subsidiary, located in SC) is seeking a self-starter and experienced Sr. Process Engineer who values working in a highly supportive and dynamic work environment. If you are goal-driven, detail-oriented, accountable, and resourceful, this position is for you. This position will be responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of processes for a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility producing a Class I medical device and personal protection equipment (PPE). The ideal candidate will possess a positive can-do attitude and will be responsible for developing and implementing process strategies, managing process resources, optimizing processes, and developing and maintaining process documents. This position is a key contributor to the critical mission of onshoring domestic manufacturing and an important voice to the senior management team.
Job Duties
● Contributes to process design during the development stage to ensure process optimization.
● Develop a detailed plan to monitor and track the process implementation progress to ensure it is completed on time and is within the stipulated scope and budget.
● Inspects and verifies incoming equipment and tooling to ensure they meet original build specifications.
● Leads validation trials, feasibility studies, and design tests for the performance of processes and materials.
● Troubleshoots quality and processing concerns with new equipment and tooling, then implements corrective actions or improvements.
● Utilizes disciplined and proven problem-solving techniques to determine root cause analysis for equipment downtime and customer complaints and develops permanent corrective actions.
● Develops or assists with the development of specifications, processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training procedures.
● Coordinates with internal and external parties for the flawless execution of process implementation.
● Performs risk management analysis to reduce project risks.
● May supervise or provide work direction to other engineers and technicians.
● Develops routines and best practices to ensure product quality.
● Continuously works toward achieving goals and measurable objectives of the facility.
● Builds relationships cross-functionally to foster collaboration with all company departments.
● Participates in or leads ad hoc projects, as needed.
● Minimal travel, including internationally (as required).
Candidate Profile, Skills, and Experience
● B.S. degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, etc.).
● 7+ years proven experience overseeing the design and implementation of manufacturing processes and technology in a process or project engineering role.
● Mechanical aptitude and advanced technical skills are required.
● Ability to analyze equipment and processes in a manufacturing environment is required.
● Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capabilities and attention to detail.
● Ability to be a self-starter, prioritize, and manage multiple assignments at any given time while meeting deadlines.
● Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
● Ability to project manage.
● Possess a collaborative work style, while being equally able to operate independently.
● Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
● A positive, can-do attitude with the desire to learn and improve.
● Results-oriented with the ability to demonstrate resiliency, take ownership, and drive results.
● Passionate about perfection, exceptional emotional intelligence, and situational awareness.
● MS Office Proficient.
● CAD software experience preferred (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other process engineering software.
● Experience working in a fast-growing business environment preferred.
● Experience with chemicals and related manufacturing processes.
● Experience designing and testing medical devices is helpful.
● Experience in a manufacturing facility startup environment is a plus.
