Industrial Air Flow Dynamics has partnered with Hueman to find a full-time Senior Project Engineer in the Woodlands, TX.

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and producing accurate engineering drawings and documentation to support manufacturing and delivery operations, while coordinating across teams and handling multiple design and project responsibilities from start to finish. This Sr. Project Engineer position is for hungry, energetic, and driven individuals that want to dig into an extremely fast paced company and be a part of supporting power plants stay reliably online. During plant outages, discovery projects popup continuously; we are building the engineering team to support these rapid repairs as they develop.

With over 20 years of experience, Industrial Air Flow Dynamics is the premier field service group in the power generation industry and the leading provider of replacement expansion joint systems, penetration seal systems, and HRSG duct/liner replacement systems. We provide our power plant and utility customers with turn-key solutions driven by our engineering expertise. Our engineering team diagnoses the root cause of the problem and improves the OEM design, then our manufacturing team will build the required products, and our field services team will complete the on-site installation.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support production and delivery operations by supplying drawings/engineering documents to our internal/external customers quickly and accurately
• Interpret customer prints, provide design layout drawings, create manufacturing drawings, detail existing drawings, and bill of materials
• Communicate with project coordinator, sales staff, sales manager and field services regarding your projects
• Must be able to take command of each project managing all components that need to be manufactured or ordered
• Handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Design, model, and create new components that IAFD will supply to customers
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and follow through on tasks to completion
• Ability to create detailed component prints on day one – you will be tested during your interview
• Travel may be required to learn the products and environment, then will be as needed.

Job Qualifications:

• BS Mechanical Engineering from a (4) year accredited college.
• (5) Minimum years of work experience post-graduation from college modeling/designing/drafting
• Prior out of office field engineering experience
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Acute attention to detail in a professional atmosphere.
• Must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines.
• Driven to succeed and take ownership of each project you work on
• Must be able to shift priorities and multitask as needed
• Proficient in All Microsoft applications and SolidWorks
