In addition to maintaining hypergrowth with our current product line, Bevi is investing heavily in new product development.​ We are looking for a Sr. Research and Development Mechanical Engineer to play a critical role in designing and putting into production our next generation of beverage dispensing machines. Working with stakeholders, you will determine the viability of concepts to push past what is currently state of art and make them reality. You will communicate updates to the team while identifying and highlighting key challenges along the way. We are seeking a candidate who embodies Bevi's core values, enjoys learning new skills, collaborates across disciplines, and is committed to driving design challenges to completion Your Day to Day Drive innovative R&D initiatives by designing, analyzing, prototyping, and testing hardware systems that redefine how beverages are delivered, reducing environmental impact. Translate emerging product concepts and research findings into viable technical solutions that balance innovation, feasibility, and business goals. Collaborate closely with industrial designers and cross-functional engineering teams (electrical, firmware, software, and mechanical) to explore new technologies and approaches. Lead the development of experimental systems and subsystems, iterating rapidly from concept to functional prototypes and scaling into production-ready designs. Partner with suppliers and external subject matter experts to identify novel manufacturing processes and materials that enable next-generation product designs. Develop and execute advanced tests to evaluate early-stage concepts, validate performance, and build long-term reliability. Share findings across the organization, providing leadership and mentorship in your areas of R&D specialization. Actively participate in design and research review sessions, challenging assumptions and pushing for technical excellence. Work independently on ambiguous, open-ended problems while proactively managing and communicating risk. Requirements Education: BSME or MSME with 5+ years of experience in R&D or system design that integrates mechanical and electrical components. CAD Expertise: Highly skilled user of SOLIDWORKS or equivalent (NX, CATIA, etc.) with experience modeling complex parts, creating large assemblies, and generating toleranced 2D drawings (GD&T experience a plus). Innovation Mindset: Strong background in conceptual design, technology exploration, and rapid prototyping for new product concepts. Manufacturing Knowledge: Exposure to advanced processes (stamping, molding, casting, additive manufacturing) and materials used in innovative hardware applications. Analysis Tools: Familiarity with FEA, MatLab, MathCAD, or similar tools to model and predict system behavior in early-stage designs. Prototype Development: Demonstrated ability to build and test prototypes quickly using data acquisition and measurement tools. Mass Production Readiness: Experience transitioning R&D concepts into manufacturable products. Collaboration & Communication: Passion for multi-disciplinary collaboration in a fast-paced, iterative environment with strong written and verbal communication skills.
