Responsibilities:
As a Senior Transportation Engineer, you will contribute to highway design, drainage design, traffic management plans, cost estimating, right-of-way, and layout plans.

Serve as Project Manager/Senior Engineer for state and local clients.
Execute scope associated with project delivery for transportation design projects for all stages from Concept Development to Final Design and Construction Administration phase.
Prepare and review models, drawings, and specifications documenting the projects under design.
Manage work and develop and mentor junior staff, providing them with technical and professional guidance.
Collaborate with other professionals to deliver projects with an integrated thinking approach.
Monitor project performance.
Attend meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to establish their needs and discuss transportation design/permitting issues.
Assist with strategy for expansion of transportation design services in Florida's Gulf Coast.
Be part of developing new project opportunities and preparing/managing proposal submissions.
Participate in professional organizations that promote relationships with clients and teaming partners.

Substantial technical and project management experience.

Advanced knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures in transportation design.
Thorough knowledge of FDOT policies and practices.
Advanced knowledge of local and state regulations governing transportation design.
Software proficiency: MicroStation/AutoCAD and Open Roads Designer is a plus.

Qualifications:

B.S. in Civil Engineering, transportation planning or similar discipline.
11+ years of professional transportation engineering experience, with at least 8 years of experience working in the Florida market, required.
Current FL Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Proven success in the transportation and/or state & local government market sectors.
