Join a remote-first team where data is at the heart of every decision. In this role, you'll lead the development and optimization of the company’s data infrastructure, helping shape the architecture and data models that empower teams across engineering, product, operations, and analytics. You'll work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable data solutions. This is a highly impactful position where technical leadership, mentorship, and collaboration are key to driving a culture of data excellence.
Accountabilities: Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable ELT pipelines using tools such as dbt, Airflow, and Fivetran. Develop robust data models, semantic layers, and data marts to enable self-service analytics across the organization. Lead architectural decisions and influence the evolution of the company’s data platform for scalability and maintainability. Partner with non-technical stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver clear, actionable metrics and analytics tools. Champion best practices in data quality, documentation, observability, and data governance. Mentor team members and promote excellence across data engineering and analytics functions. Maintain orchestration workflows and ensure real-time and batch data processes meet performance expectations. Requirements 7+ years of experience in data engineering, with deep knowledge of modern data stack tools like dbt, Airflow, and Snowflake (or equivalents). Strong SQL skills and proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Scala. Expertise in building and maintaining cloud data warehouses and data pipelines to support analytical and operational workloads. Solid background in data modeling (dimensional/star/snowflake schemas) and experience with BI tools like Looker, Tableau, or Mode. Familiarity with streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis) and DevOps tools like Terraform for infrastructure-as-code. Ability to work cross-functionally and translate complex business requirements into scalable data solutions. A collaborative mindset, strong communication skills, and a track record of mentoring peers in data best practices. Benefits Base salary range: $136,000 – $180,000, plus bonus and equity components.
