In this position... As a Staff Geartrain Design Engineer, you will be responsible for design and development of Ford’s next generation EV drivetrains. You will work within the geartrain and lubrication team developing production hardware. You will own hardware from concept to production with exposure to sourcing, validation, and ramp.

You'll have... • Bachelor's, Master’s, or PHD in mechanical engineering or related field. • 3 - 7 years of experience designing, developing, and validating geartrain hardware. • Experience optimizing geartrain systems utilizing CAE tools such as ANSYS, FEMFAT, Romax, LDP, GT-Suite, MATLAB or equivalent applications. • Experience with instrumentation and measurement of geartrain systems in a lab environment. • Strong sense of ownership. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong first principles understanding • An eagerness to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment where you are part of a high performing team. • A system approach to design and development with the desire and curiosity to strive for exceptional delivery execution and continuous improvement.
