Supplier Quality Engineer

Our client, a manufacturing company focused on industrial-sized engines, is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join their team. As an SQE, you will be part of the Operations Engineering Team supporting Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in resolution of quality matters, corrective actions, requests for deviations, reject notifications, continuous improvement and reporting for suppliers. Experience with Oracle ERP tool will be helpful. SQE work with fabrications, weldments and machined parts is a must. This is a low volume/high mix industrial environment. Candidates living in the SE Wisconsin/metro Milwaukee area are strongly preferred. This is a Direct Hire role with great growth potential.
Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer(s)
Location: Waukesha, WI
Pay: $110-$120K/yr. plus benefits
Key Responsibilities
Managing supply base focused on fabrications and miscellaneous machined engine components.
Administering and Processing of first piece qualifications.
Responsible for resolution of quality matters, corrective actions, requests for deviations, reject notifications, and continuous improvement and reporting for suppliers.
Collaborate with Global Sourcing Specialists, Buyers, and Engineers to achieve quality and cost goals.
Travel is required to perform job duties 30-40% including global.
Requirements
Technical Degree, preferably in engineering, from an accredited university or college or equivalent, directly related experience and a minimum of 7 years job-related experience in the quality field
Previous experience working within an industrial environment is preferred
Strong analytical, commercial acumen, and contractual awareness
Knowledge of manufacturing and warehousing operations/processes
Experience with quality management system(s) desired
