Your day will involve engaging with suppliers and a global commodity manager to assess and enhance their capacity, capability, and cost-effectiveness—ensuring alignment with our high standards. Apply your expertise in metallurgy of various materials to assist suppliers in addressing manufacturing challenges, fixing, and maintaining quality.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Act as the quality partner forthe Raw Materials Global Commodity Manager, developing procurementstrategies and driving standards for new material-related technology.
Improve SE global supply qualitynetwork's understanding of steel making and raw material by guiding SupplyQuality Engineers.
Coordinating multi-functionalteams for Product and Process Qualification (PPQ) on raw materialcommodity parts, leading all aspects of project breakthroughs andresources.
Provide suppliers with primarytechnical advice on melting and metallurgical processes for variousmaterials, ensuring alignment with standard processes.
Stay updated on industry trendsand new technologies in melting processes and materials science to drivecontinuous improvement.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree inmetallurgical engineering, materials science or in a related field, orequivalent experience. Equivalent combinations of education, training, andexperience will be considered.
At least 8+ years’ professionalexperience in melting processes and metallurgy, specifically with steels,aluminum, titanium, and high-alloyed materials.
Deep understanding of meltingtechniques (e.g., vacuum melting, induction melting, arc melting, etc.),solidification processes, and material properties.
Knowledge of advanced meltingtechnologies, such as electron beam melting (EBM) or plasma melting, andemerging technologies in the field of metallurgy.
Familiarity with advanced alloys,including nickel-based superalloys, titanium alloys, aluminum, andstainless steels used in the fabrication of Power Generation Products.
Experience leading people,projects and managing virtual multi-functional teams in an internationalenvironment. You are a self-starter, determined, and self-reliant. Yourorganizational, strategic, analytical thinking, leadership skills, andintercultural expertise complete your profile!
