About The Role: As a Support Engineer, you will work at the intersection of our client services and engineering teams, playing a key role in driving customer success by identifying and resolving critical business challenges. You will engage directly with our customers, offering software development and operational insights while leveraging best practices in Apache Kafka and the Confluent Platform. What You Will Do: Resolve a wide range of issues with customer deployments of Confluent. Contribute to the development of processes and help lay the foundation for our growing team. Communicate with the core engineering team to relay real-time product feedback. Enhance product documentation and create knowledge base articles. Develop and review product demonstrations and internal tools. Collaborate closely with the team behind Apache Kafka. What You Will Bring: At least 1 year of relevant experience. A desire to work in the PST time zone. A passion for learning about streaming data and expertise in Apache Kafka. Experience in diagnosing and resolving customer issues effectively. Two out of the following three: Familiarity with troubleshooting applications on Linux, operational knowledge of Java applications, or experience with a mainstream distributed system (e.g., Kafka, Hadoop, Cassandra).
