S/W Embedded Network Engineer Hood River Oregon Exp 10-15 years Degree Bachelors Job Description The Software Engineer Embedded Networking will act as the primary engineer responsible for defining and implementing embedded communication network architectures and software in support of Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) development programs for domestic and international customers. The ideal candidate will be a multi-disciplinary individual with broad development experience in embedded SATCOM, LOS, and BLOS communication networks. The candidate should be comfortable interfacing with internal and external customers, including senior engineers, project managers, customer program managers, IPT leads, business development executives, military customer representatives, and civilian regulatory authorities. Typical duties and responsibilities include: Embedded network development and design Integration and testing of embedded networks Performing embedded networking research and development Experience with real-time embedded network development Experience in embedded network architecture development, including both hardware and software Implementation of network protocols Derivation of requirements from high-level concepts and specifications Software development using C/C++, C#, and Java Developing and releasing technical documentation to meet contractual obligations Defining requirements, synthesis, analysis, and allocation for embedded network hardware and software Supporting verification methodology and quality assurance development Defining hardware and software design and interfaces Developing software to support embedded network capabilities Performing trade studies and evaluating network architecture alternatives, including modeling and assessment of network behaviors Conducting technical risk and opportunity analysis with mitigation and capture plans Developing test plans and procedures, and participating in embedded network testing Assessing protocols and standards Analyzing verification and validation results Performing network analyses, including affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human factors/human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, and system security Incorporating regulatory and certification standards and conducting supportability analysis Conducting system design reviews Qualifications Does this describe you: Note: Looking specifically for someone with experience with Cisco TCP/IP, routers, modems, etc. Embedded network development C, C++ TCP/IP 7-11 years experience in embedded network systems, specifically with Cisco TCP/IP, routers, modems, etc. Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
