Job Description

We are hiring for Systems Design Engineers, with a minimum of 2 years experience, in the Cincinnati, OH area, working for a growing systems integration firm.

This is full time position, starting as contract, expected to go permanent within 6 months of start date.

ABILITY TO WORK FROM HOME in the Cincinnati area!

Hourly pay range $37-$53/HR, (relevant to experience and education), plus OT and approved travel expenses.

Once you are a direct employee of the company, base salary range estimated at $77-$110K, + up to $3,000 relocation package available and Annual bonuses of $4,000-$8,000K.

Job description:

The Systems Designer/Engineer is responsible for systems integration, design, creation, analysis, and testing of automation systems to meet client and project requirements and writing technical documentation.
Undertake various forms of software design and analysis on automation system components while adhering to established company templates.
Write system code utilizing diverse programming languages and related technologies.
Create technical documentation for design systems in line with required standards. Collaborate with Managers and Senior Designers to uphold design standards.
Participate in commissioning processes as per project scope and gain client approval.
Engage in project reviews alongside peers and managers.
Develop user functional and technical specification documentation.
Assist with service calls and small quotes, subsequently reviewing quotes in coordination with Managers or clients.
Monitor and address high-risk elements within the project's scope.
Contribute to formulating guidelines, introducing innovative approaches, and drawing insights from comparative situations.
Be flexible with LOCAL travel, which can be expected to range up to 50%. (Will return home everyday)

Required:

2 Years of PLC Programming Platform Experience: Rockwell / Allen-Bradley/Siemens,Omron, Modicon, GE etc. and/or a combination of the following working for a Systems Integrator or manufacturing consultant:
HMI Platforms: Rockwell / Allen-Bradley, Wonderware, Schneider Electric, etc.
SCADA Platforms: Rockwell / Allen-Bradley, Inductive Automation, Wonderware, GE, Siemens, etc.
Servo Motion Control: Rockwell / Allen-Bradley, Emerson, Omron, etc.
Vision Platforms: Cognex, Datalogic, Keyence, etc.
MES Platforms: Rockwell / Allen-Bradley, Sepasoft, Wonderware, etc.
Database Platforms: Microsoft, Oracle, etc.
Operating Systems: Microsoft (current and legacy to NT), Unix, Linux, etc.
Project Documentation: Microsoft Office
Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written

Preferred:

Pharma Industry experience HIGHLY preferred
Successful or upcoming completion of Associates or B.Sc. Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related 2 to 4 year Engineering Technology degree.
