Job Title: Systems Engineer II – POS Solutions
Location-Type: Onsite – Scarborough, ME
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6-month contract with strong likelihood of extension
Compensation Range: $30.00-$40.00/hr w2

Responsibilities:
  • Test and validate POS updates (primarily Self-Checkout) in a lab environment before release to stores
  • Build and package vendor-delivered executables for QA review and deployment
  • Set up and test new POS hardware and peripherals in the lab
  • Perform smoke testing, troubleshooting, and 3rd-line support as needed
  • Collaborate with QA, IT development teams, business stakeholders, and vendor partners (including Client)
  • Maintain technical documentation and support knowledge base
Requirements:
  • Hands-on experience with any POS system (Self-Checkout strongly preferred)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across both hardware and software
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Familiarity with lab environments and testing protocols.
Nice to have:
  • Familiarity with Client Storeline, Client POS solutions, or similar retail POS platforms
  • Background in retail technology or customer-facing application development
  • Understanding of security risk assessment processes
