Systems Integration Engineer (711239)

New Today

Collaborating with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define technical engineering requirements that fulfill system application objectives within time and cost constraints. Analyzing information to determine, recommend, and plan the installation of new systems or the modifications of existing systems by leveraging project management (daily scheduling, resource planning, cost budgeting, and risk assessment). Engineering durable, scalable, and maintainable electromechanical modules using best practices and industry standards with the help of mechanical design (SolidWorks) and rapid prototyping (3D printing, laser cutting, machine shop skills). Designing electrical schematics and panel layouts, which define power distribution, control circuits, interconnections, and placements between components, for industrial control panels using AutoCAD Electrical per UL508A guidelines. Developing high-efficiency and reliable integrated controls solutions to automate the three-dimensional conveyor systems using electronics for industrial automation such as PLCs, motor drive, industrial machinery, functional safety modules, sensors, and actuators. Performing component selection, testing, and debugging to meet the targeted functional requirements and quality standards using lab test instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies. e. Implementing embedded programming utilizing C/C++ and Python, based on standard versioning and modular coding practices, for developing software program tools to validate the system against different test cases identified. Deploying systems in the field and providing on-site support for troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime using fundamental controls concepts such as PID, deadband, and bode plots. Creating and maintaining documentation of system designs and procedures for testing, operation, and maintenance to record every aspect of the system as a reference for future development and upgrades. Generating and managing hardware BOMs for mechanical and electrical designs to ensure accurate part numbering, revision control, and procurement per the project requirements. Contributing to continuous improvement of product development processes and methodologies using product lifecycle management tools such as Jira and Integrity Lifecycle Manager.
