Join ERM as a Technical Director, Engineer (Sediment Site Investigation & Risk Assessment) in the Pacific Northwest. This role offers hybrid or fully remote work options within 100 miles of an ERM office. We seek a candidate with significant sediment engineering, consulting, and project management experience to provide technical leadership and support ERM’s sediment SI / RM practice. The position involves overseeing all aspects of contaminated site lifecycle, including investigation, risk assessment, feasibility studies, remedial design, implementation, and monitoring, utilizing advanced digital tools and data analytics. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for selling and delivering sediment investigation and remediation projects, expanding ERM’s business, and networking with global teams. Depending on qualifications, this role may be a partner-track opportunity for career advancement. Responsibilities: Lead feasibility studies, remedial designs, and strategies for CERCLA and other sediment sites. Provide strategic advice to clients and collaborate on complex projects with global teams. Manage projects within scope, budget, and schedule, ensuring quality standards. Develop new business opportunities, prepare technical proposals, and foster client relationships. Support cross-selling of ERM’s services and mentor staff. Requirements: Bachelor’s in environmental, chemical, or civil engineering, PE license. 8+ years of experience in sediment site assessment, investigation, and remediation projects. Proven project management skills and knowledge of regulatory frameworks. Business development experience and potential litigation background preferred. Preferred Qualifications: Masters or Ph.D. in related fields. 15+ years of relevant experience, with 10+ managing large projects.
