Technical Services Engineer - Hardware Helpdesk, Senior Level Analyze, install, and provide maintenance for various types of hardware and software, including but not limited to PC's, Servers, Switches, Firewalls, MS Windows, MS Server and MS Office products. Good communication skills are necessary to provide quality customer service through phone and on-site support opportunities. This position requires the highest level of confidentiality and integrity regarding customer data. Be able to function in a team-oriented environment to ensure customer needs and CSPI goals are exceeded. Good work environment with competitive benefits and salary. Troubleshoot and identify technical and complex issues; then determine, test and/or modify and implement possible solutions. (2nd Tier Help Desk) Plan and implement network security including firewalls, Active Directory, file sharing/security, backup, replication and disaster recovery plans, file and/or drive encryption. Evaluate and/or recommend the purchase of computers, network hardware, peripheral equipment, and software. Recommend issues, resolutions and needs to management. Perform and/or oversee application software installations and upgrades. Must have a valid driver's license to operate company vehicles. Demonstrated knowledge of Network Communications, including LAN, WAN, subnets, DNS, etc. Demonstrated knowledge of PC / Server hardware and MS Windows operating systems. Knowledge of Virtual Systems (i.e., VMWare and Hyper-V) would be a plus. Demonstrated ability to communicate appropriately with co-workers and customers via e-mail, phone or face to face. Must possess a high level of technical writing skills to document problems encountered and resolutions in our support knowledgebase for future reference. Associate's degree in computer information technology or computer information systems, or related field of study; four years' experience in a computer service position; OR an equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education. Located on-site in Jefferson City, MO.
