We are seeking a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to lead our dynamic team on a temporary assignment of 4-6 months. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing manufacturing processes within our facility in the absence of our Chief Engineer, focusing on assembly line operations, industrial equipment, and decreasing waste and downtime. This position requires a strong foundation in mechanical engineering and a passion for continuous improvement, ensuring that our production methods are efficient and effective. Shifts and days will vary based on the needs of our business. Duties Directly supervise, train, schedule, plan, assign, and direct the work of maintenance staff. Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes to enhance productivity and quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues related to assembly line operations and industrial equipment. Program and maintain robotic system to automate processes effectively. On-site trainer and enforcer of LOTO and other safety policies. Conduct continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operations and reduce waste. Provide technical support for factory personnel regarding equipment operation and maintenance. Document engineering changes and maintain accurate records of modifications made to processes or equipment. Maintain and calibrate pH water treatment system and present records to city Requirements Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and 5 years' experience in the maintenance and/or operation of a process manufacturing facility. Experience working in a food manufacturing facility, preferably with baking assembly line experience. Proficiency in robot programming and familiarity with industrial automation systems. Strong understanding of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma. Proficient in using CMMS software, preferably Limble. Proficient with the Environmental chemistry and reporting requirements of a food manufacturing facility Knowledge of fabrication processes with a focus on increasing productivity is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on practical solutions in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with multi-cultural team members.
