Information Security Engineer

The Information Security Engineer will participate in establishing and maintaining a corporate wide information security management program to ensure that information assets are adequately protected. As an East West Bank employee, the information security engineer will be part of a growing and stable organization that provides career path development opportunities while serving a growing and profitable market. The Information Security Engineer will work with senior members of the team to enhance and mature the security operations program.

Responsibilities

  1. Review and Analyze: Assess current WAF configurations and policies to ensure optimal security and performance.
  2. Coordination: Work closely with application teams to understand their requirements and provide tailored WAF solutions.
  3. Implementation: Deploy and configure WAF features in Azure Front Door, AWS CloudFront, and Fastly WAF.
  4. Testing: Conduct thorough testing of WAF rules and policies to ensure they effectively protect against threats without impacting application performance.
  5. Upgrades: Manage and execute WAF upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
  6. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of WAF configurations, policies, and procedures.
  7. Monitoring and Reporting: Continuously monitor WAF performance and generate reports on security incidents and WAF effectiveness.
  8. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to WAF configurations and performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in web application security and WAF management.
  • Proficiency with Azure Front Door, AWS CloudFront, and Fastly WAF.
  • Strong understanding of web application security threats and mitigation techniques.
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with Linux is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate).
  • Experience with other security tools and technologies.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is USD $79,000.00/Yr. - USD $150,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
