Our Sustaining Engineering team focuses on ensuring product reliability and quality through data analysis, improving manufacturing processes, and hardware/software enhancements. We are seeking a Test Engineer - Sustaining to enhance user experience and resolve product issues. Responsibilities: Conduct hands-on and data-driven root cause analysis of mechanical and electrical subsystems using problem-solving methodologies. Design and develop test systems to diagnose factory issues and customer complaints. Implement mechanical modifications to resolve issues and verify their effectiveness through data analysis. Collaborate with manufacturing to develop processes, tests, and procedures that improve machine reliability and efficiency. Become an expert in Formlabs' 3D printing technology and work with design teams on corrective actions, design reviews, and validation testing. Qualifications: Strong hardware debugging skills with a passion for understanding system operation and failures. Ability to prototype and conduct tests, from experimental design to hands-on implementation. Experience in designing or debugging complex electromechanical systems. Knowledge of designing for reliability, including modeling, theory, and accelerated testing. Preferred Skills: Scripting skills such as Python, SQL, Bash, and related data analysis tools. Minimum of 3 years experience in mechanical design, manufacturing, quality control, testing, or system integration.
